HID vs. LED headlights

HID and LED headlights are two different types of vehicle headlights. Whether you want to go for HID or LED headlights depends on a few things. Regarding technology, HID uses gas (xenon), and LED uses electricity. Both have a high energy use, but LEDs are slightly more energy efficient. LEDs have a longer life span with up to 50,000 hours, while HIDs have around 15,000 hours. LEDs can deliver 9,000-10,000 lumens, while HID can deliver 8,000 lumens.

How long do LED headlights last?

The lifespan of a LED highlight (50,000-100,000 hours) is far superior to that of other types of headlights. This means they will last from 6 to 12 years before you need to replace them.
